On Sakhalin, after a bear attack, a 36-year-old soldier died.
According to Russian media, the incident occurred on October 18 on the seashore near Yuzhno-Kurilsk.
On that day, the military went with a colleague on the coast. On the seashore they caught crayfish.
Suddenly, a bear with two cubs came out of the forest to the sea and attacked the men.
The predator inflicted serious injuries on both men. However, one of them survived, he received medical assistance and now nothing threatens his life.
The second bear was bitten by a bear. She tore off his ear, took off the scalp, skin from the back and buttocks, and also almost bit off her leg. The limb had to be amputated.
After the emergency, the Russian fell into a coma. He was urgently taken to the hospital by helicopter.
For a week, doctors fought for his life. Local residents donated blood to somehow help the victim.
